Holiday Paradise Maldives (Part 2)
The Second Day of our Trip to Paradise
Today, we have planned to make our first trip. We reached the Laguna Maldives Resort by speedboat within about 45 min. The journey to the island was an experience in itself. We wanted to spend a calm relaxing day at the seaside. Thus, when we arrived, we took a walk along the seaside. For lunch, we chose the well-known "Summerfield" Restaurant. Of course, we also needed our swimming things and enjoyed some hours on the beach with wonderful crystal-clear water before we returned to the resort taking the last speedboat.
The Third Day – A Day for Divers
The Vadoo Island Resort had been recommended to us for an adventurous dive. My husband is not an enthusiastic diver and he is not a real expert either, but on the third day of our stay, he treated himself to this dive all the same. I and my daughter, on the contrary, decided to spend a relaxing day having a good swim in the lagoon. The house reef is ideal for snorkelers and this is what he opted for and he did not regret it and he returned starry-eyed and had spent a day full of impressions. This unique underwater world and the crystal-clear water at the reef are an exceptional attraction and exert lasting fascination.
The Fourth Day in Paradise
This morning, we visited port and the centre of Malé, we went to the well-known fish, vegetable and wood market and, at the harbour, we observed the vessels that leave for Sri Lanka from time to time. The vastness of the sea is impressive. We planned to buy some holiday souvenirs and even found a few interesting little things for those at home. The evening was reserved for a meal in a cosy atmosphere at one of the numerous seaside restaurants.
Our Second to Last Day
The Full Moon Maldives would be the destination of our today's excursion. A day, which we will never forget, started after the usual fantastic breakfast and led us in the direction of the high-current Vadhoo channel. We were told that, with a bit of luck, we might see mantas, rays, barracudas, or sharks. From a safe distance, of course. And this promise was really kept. No matter whether you are young or old, this trip offers unique images that are indelibly engraved in your memory. Here is a little advice: Do not forget your camera!
And this is our Last Day on the Maldives Already
Our flight was scheduled to bring us back to Germany during the evening hours. So we had nearly a whole day left on Malé. We wanted to spend this day in a relaxing and sportive way. First, we had a pleasant volleyball match on the beach, and then we took a banana boat trip and we did water ski, which was real fun and a lovely finish to our last day.
With packed bags and many vivid memories we returned to the airport island. The staff of the resort said goodbye in a friendly - even familiar – way, which we found very pleasant.
End of our Stay on the Maldives
This was how an eventful and fascinating holiday filled with lots of attractions for us, the parents, and our daughter came to an end.
We will probably always remember these days in paradise - not only but also - when we watch the beautiful photos in our holiday album. These memories are deep within our hearts. The Maldives for us are paradise on earth. Feel comfortable, relax, calm down, experience, enjoy and much more are made easy for tourists on the Maldives. The only difficult thing is to leave these islands and your feelings will probably always be mixed as you leave.
